Jess graduated from Durham University in 2013 with a Physics degree. She then worked for three years as a research scientist in environmental monitoring, focusing on identification and quantification of atmospheric emissions from industrial processes. She joined the LoLo MRes programme in September this year. Jess is interested in how physical models of energy use can accommodate people’s behaviour and real world data from field trials.
