Biography
Elizabeth Shove is Professor of Sociology at Lancaster University and Director of the DEMAND (Dynamics of Energy, Mobility, and Demand) Research Centre. She has written about consumption, everyday life and social practice and has a long history of research on energy demand in one form or another. Recent books include Sustainable Practices: Social theory and climate change, edited with Nicola Spurling (Routledge 2013) and The Dynamics of Social Practice: Everyday life and how it changes, with Mika Pantzar and Matt Watson (Sage 2012).
